Data Collection

To follow this guide, your system must be running OneView v4.3.1-126 or newer software. 

What does this do?

In version 4.3.1-126, data collection currently retrieves MAC addresses and STP states from edge switches.

The STP states are used to generate events and add extra information.

The MAC addresses are used to update the Device MAC column of the Devices page, but NOT the IP addresses.

In version 4.4.0 onwards, data collection will also gather IP addresses from a router's lease information if a router is connected.

Enable data collection

Navigate to 'System > Config' and scroll to the bottom. Then click the 'Collection' button in the 'Advanced Settings' section followed by 'Enabled' it in the 'Data Collection' section that appears below it.
