Why does my BACnet MS/TP capture data seem corrupted?

If you've uploaded a BACnet MS/TP capture file to Visual BACnet and the data seems corrupted, check to see that the baud rate is set correctly in your capture tool settings (Settings > Capture > Baud Rate). Most BACnet MS/TP devices run at 76800 baud, but not all of them do.

A common symptom of this is an MS/TP file with 100% checksum errors, and no other problems (resulting in a 90% Network Health Score). If you come across this, check your Baud Rate setting.
