New Features & Improvements
New Features & Improvements
- Removed the subnet mask restriction in the ‘Management IP’ settings. All subnet values are now permitted.
- Fixed a bug where a troubled port on a Hybrid Aggregation Switch (ASW) could cause OneView to become unstable and lock up for several minutes.
Known Issues & Limitations
- Hybrid ‘discovery’ port functionality is not officially supported on ONS-C401i, ONS-C801pi, or ONS-C1601pi Edge Switches.
- In version 4.6.0-255 and newer, the available VLAN range has been reduced from 1-4092 to 1-4050. All VLANs from 4051 onward are now reserved for internal use by OneView. Please contact us if your site is currently making use of a VLAN in the reserved range.
- The ONS-C4801p in Hybrid mode can cause issues with the topology view.
- In rare cases, bulk assignment of large ranges of VLANs on many trunk ports can result in an ‘HTTP Server Error’ message popup and OneView becoming unresponsive for a few minutes.
Workaround: Close the error message dialog, wait for the system to stabilize, and then, if applicable, re-apply any settings changes that failed to complete.
- Plugging in or unplugging Ethernet cables from an ONS-CU-SFP can result in duplicate link notifications appearing on the Notifications screen.
Workaround: Ignore these - the Edge Switch itself is sending this.
- Changing port VLANs occasionally throws an error (Spectra Only).
Workaround: Re-attempt VLAN change.
- If data traffic (non-management) can reach the Network Controller, then an excessive amount of broadcast (DoS) may cause performance issues with the GUI (OneView).
Workaround: Use a unique VLAN for management (OneView).
- Inter-switch traffic on the same EPON (laser) does not increment traffic counters on bandwidth page (Spectra Only).
- Sometimes after a new Edge Switch is added, some or all of its ports may not be immediately visible on the 'Ports' page.
Workaround: Refresh the browser.
