Upgrade Procedure

To upgrade the OneView™ software on your ONS-NC600, please carefully follow the upgrade instructions or contact Optigo Networks at [e-mail] or 1-800-629-6559 for assistance.

 

WARNING

If your OneView system's 'Factory Default Version' is older than 4.2.0-065, please contact Optigo tech support for assistance before you attempt to upgrade your system.

New Features & Improvements

• Fixed a bug affecting ONS-C2401p switches with MAC addresses starting at '88:DC:96', which were sometimes failing to register the first time they were connected to the system.
  
  
• Fixed a bug affecting ONS-C2401p switches with MAC addresses starting at '88:DC:96', which, when used as an Aggregation switch on Hybrid systems, were sometimes failing to get recognized the first time they're connected to the ONS-NC600.
  
  
• Fixed a bug where attempting to change a port's PoE status from the 'Edge Switches > More' page or the 'Switches & Routers > More' page failed.
  
  
• Various bug fixes and stability improvements.

Known Issues & Limitations

• Plugging in or unplugging Ethernet cables from an ONS-CU-SFP can result in duplicate link notifications appearing on the Notifications screen. 
  Workaround: Ignore these - the Edge Switch itself is sending this.
  
  
• Changing port VLANs occasionally throws an error (Spectra Only).
  Workaround: Re-attempt VLAN change.
  
  
• Some downstream traffic does not pass on VLAN 1 with ONS-C801pi and ONS-C1601pi (Spectra Only).
  Workaround: Use a VLAN other than 1.
  
  
• VLAN 1 traffic in Spectra mode does not reach an Optigo-managed router
  Workaround: Use a VLAN other than 1. 
  
  
• If data traffic (non-management) can reach the Network Controller, then an excessive amount of broadcast (DoS) may cause performance issues with the GUI (OneView).
  Workaround: Use a unique VLAN for management (OneView).
  
  
• Inter-switch traffic on the same EPON (laser) does not increment traffic counters on bandwidth page (Spectra Only).
  
  
• The ONS-C4801p in Hybrid mode can cause issues with the topology view.
