These step-by-step instructions will show you how to configure and generate maintenance reports, which are highly customizable, allowing you to upload images and add comments, making them ideal for delivering to customers.
Part 1 - Configuring maintenance report settings
-
Click on the menu button in the top right corner.
-
Click on “Settings”.
-
Navigate to “Maintenance Report Settings”.
-
You can fill in the “Header Text”, “Footer Text”, and upload images to be shown on the Maintenance Report. This will apply to all future reports generated unless the settings are changed. The “Header Text”, “Footer Text”, and any images cannot be changed after the report is generated, however the cover title and cover subtitle can be changed within the report itself.
Note:
If your account is a team account, only the team admin can configure the Maintenance Report.
Part 2 - Configuring the cover image for sites
-
Navigate to the site you want to add a cover image to in the Monitoring page.
-
Make sure that you have “Full Access” to the site.
-
Click on the “Settings” tab on the top right.
-
Click on “Upload Image” underneath the “Maintenance Report Settings”.
Note:
The cover image automatically applies to all sites and nodes below it in the tree. If you add an image on a lower level, the report will use that level’s image. For example, in the image below, if 3 different images were uploaded to “Google Demo”, “Atlanta”, and “Building A”, they and the levels below them would all have the same image (represented by the color of the circle).
Part 3 - Generating the report
-
Navigate to a capture's summary page.
-
Click on the “Maint PDF” button.
-
Select “Image from report settings” if you want to use the image uploaded in Part 1.
Select “Image from: {monitoring level name}” if you want to use the image uploaded in Part 2.
Part 4 - Using the Report
-
Any text contained in a light blue box can be edited using most software and browsers. This can be re-edited after file closes and saves.
-
In order to lock in the text, print or export the report file to another PDF. The resulting copy will not be editable.
