To follow this step-by-step how-to guide, you must be running OneView™ version 4.4.0-163 (or newer) and be using a supported router.
- Download the firmware for the MikroTik router.
Optigo OneView™ has been extensively tested with the MikroTik RB4011 router running firmware 6.45.8. The firmware file for the RB4011 can be downloaded in the MikroTik Downloads Archive in the "Release 6.45.8" collapsed menu, under the filename routeros-arm-6.45.8.npk.
Note it is -arm-, not -arm64-. The RB4011 will not recognize files with the incorrect CPU architecture.
Alternatively you may download the latest firmware offered by MikroTik by visiting the MikroTik Downloads page. - Login to OneView™ with an administrator account.
- Navigate to the MikroTik router management GUI by adding the following path to the URL: /#!/customized/routergui
Example URL: http://10.2.21.31/#!/customized/routergui - Click "Open GUI". You will be provided with the proxy URL and router credentials.
(Note: The credentials shown on the page will expire after 10 minutes. If at any time you lose access, simply follow steps 2 to 7 to begin a new session. Credentials will change each time) - Click on the proxy URL hyperlink. For instance, http://10.2.21.31:8081.
- Enter the username and password provided to you on OneView™. Then click "Login".
- Click "WebFig" in the top right corner.
- Click "Files" on the side menu.
- Click "Choose File".
- Select the firmware file you wish to upgrade.
- Expand the "System" menu in the sidebar and click the "Reboot" button.
A dialog box will appear to ask for confirmation to proceed in rebooting the router. Click "OK". - Close the proxy window and open a new proxy after the router finishes rebooting and is re-discovered by OneView™ using steps 2-7.
- Expand the "System" menu on the sidebar, then click "RouterBOARD".
The Current Firmware is the firmware currently installed on the MikroTik router.
The Upgrade Firmware is the firmware corresponding to the uploaded firmware file that you wish to install onto the router. - Click the "Upgrade" button.
A dialog box will appear asking for confirmation to proceed with the upgrade. Click "OK". - Under the "System" menu on the sidebar, click "Reboot" and then "OK".
- Close the proxy window and open a new proxy after the router finishes rebooting and is re-discovered by OneView™ using steps 2-7.
- Expand the "System" menu and click "RouterBOARD".
The "Current Firmware" should be updated to the latest firmware version.
The values for "Current Firmware" and "Upgrade Firmware" should be identical. - Log out of the MikroTik management GUI by clicking the "door" icon in the top right corner.
