Notifications

Optigo's OneView software generates notifications (e.g. user logins, port link status changes, edge switch status changes, etc), which can be viewed by clicking on the 'Notifications' icon (red bell) in the top-right of your screen.

The resulting list can contain up to 500 notifications, with the oldest being overwritten once that maximum has been reached.

Filtering

There are several ways that you can filter the notifications list to find what you're looking for.

Clicking on 'Major Notifications' or 'Minor Notifications' will automatically filter the list by event severity level (i.e. minor or major).

Clicking on 'Unread' will omit all notifications that have already been marked as 'read'.
Clicking on 'All' will display everything.
To mark as read, simply click the check mark in the 'Read By' field for the notification of interest or click 'Mark all as Read'.

There are 4 filter presets as well:

• Online
  Only notifications with the word "online" in the 'Message' field will be displayed.
  
  
• Offline
  Only notifications with the word "offline" in the 'Message' field will be displayed.
  
  
• Switches
  Only notifications with the word "switch" in the 'Message' field will be displayed.
  
  
• Ports
  Only notifications with the word "port" in the 'Message' field will be displayed.

At the top of the Notifications list, users can also filter notifications by any combination of values in the following 6 fields:

• Level
  If this field is set to 'minor' or 'major', then only notifications of that severity level will be displayed. This field is ignored if left blank.
  
  
• Event
  Enter specific text here, either complete or partial. Only notifications containing this text in its 'Event' field will be displayed. This field is ignored if left blank.
  
  
• Message
  Enter specific text here, either complete or partial. Only notifications containing this text in its 'Message' field will be displayed. This field is ignored if left blank.
  
  
• Object
  Enter specific text here, either complete or partial. Only notifications containing this text in its 'Object' field will be displayed. This field is ignored if left blank.
  
  
• Timestamp
  Enter specific text here, either complete or partial. Only notifications containing this text in its 'Timestamp' field will be displayed. The field is ignored if left blank.
  
  
• Read By
  Enter specific text here, either complete or partial. Only notifications containing this text in its 'Read By' field will be displayed. The field is ignored if left blank.

Email Notifications
