Using the OT Network Summary Panel

OT Network Summary Panel Features 

The OT Network Summary panel allows you to:

• Create new OT networks
• View the status of the Site Scope Pool (Assigned, Available, Total)*
• View each OT network's most recent score
• View and manage each OT network's Site Scope assignment
• View each OT network's device count**
• Generate Network Health Reports

Site Scope and Site Scope+ Assignment

When an OT network is first created, there are no Site Scopes or Site Scope+ assigned to it. In order to enable advanced features for a given OT network, the appropriate add-on needs to be purchased and assigned to it.

Site Scope

After purchase, Site Scopes are unassigned to your Site Scope Pool, from which you can take a Site Scope at any time and assign it to an OT network. The number of unassigned, or "free" Site Scopes you own will be reflected in the "available" number in your Site Scope Pool summary.

To manually assign a Site Scope to an OT network:

1. Navigate to the OT Network Summary panel.
2. Find the desired OT network.
3. From the Site Scope field for that OT network, select Assign Site Scope.

 

Site Scope+

In order to purchase a Site Scope+ subscription, there must be at least one OT network available to assign it to. If there are no OT networks whose Site Scope status is 'Unassigned', you will need to either create a new one or wait until an existing OT network's 'Assign until' date has passed (see below for details).

To manually assign a Site Scope+ to an OT Network:

1. Navigate to the OT Network Summary panel and confirm that the desired OT network's Site Scope status is 'Unassigned'.
2. From the Site Scope field for that OT network, select Assign Site Scope+.
3. Follow the prompts to complete the Site Scope+ purchase.

EXAMPLE:
You purchase a subscription for 3 Site Scope+ for 'OT Network C' on an annual term and a subscription for 11 Site Scope+ for 'OT Network D' on a monthly term.

Removing a Site Scope or Site Scope+ Assignment

You might want to remove a Site Scope assignment from an OT network, or re-assign to a different OT network, or wish to assign a Site Scope to an OT network that currently has a Site Scope+ assignment.

Note: The change is not immediate, regardless of whether a Site Scope or Site Scope+ is currently assigned, and the two add-ons are handled differently.

Removing a Site Scope

To remove a Site Scope assignment from an OT network, you merely go to the Site Scope field and select Assign Site Scope until <date>, where the date varies, depending on when the subscription was purchased. 

The date that a Site Scope assignment can be removed depends on the 'day' value for the date it was purchased, regardless if the subscription is on an annual or monthly term.

For example, you purchased a Site Scope subscription on March 25th, 2025 and assigned Site Scopes to two OT networks, 'OT Network X' and 'OT Network Y'. Then, on June 23rd, 2025, you decide to remove the assignment from 'OT Network X', but wait until June 27th, 2025 to remove the the assignment from 'OT Network Y'. In this case, the Site Scope un-assignment option for 'OT Network X' will read "Assign Site Scope until June 25th, 2025" and the option for 'OT Network Y' will read "Assign Site Scope until July 25th, 2025".

It's important to note that changing an OT network's Site Scope assignment status has no effect on the Site Scope subscription, which can only be modified from the 'Manage Add-Ons' panel.

Removing a Site Scope+

To remove a Site Scope+ assignment from an OT network, simply go to the Site Scope field and select Assign Site Scope+ until <date>. In this case, the date is actually the term end date for the OT network's Site Scope+ subscription.

Unlike with Site Scope assignments, this effectively acts the same as cancelling the subscription from the 'Manage Add-Ons' panel, although the latter is the recommended method. Once the Site Scope+ subscription's term ends, the OT network's Site Scope assignment value will be set back to 'Unassigned'.

 

Changing Assignment from Site Scope to Site Scope+

Sometimes, it may be necessary to change an OT network's add-on from Site Scope to Site Scope+. For example, when a system integrator has finished their work on site and is handing everything over to the building manager.

Fortunately, this is a simple as selecting Assign Site Scope+ in the Site Scope field for that OT network. Follow these two steps to complete the transfer:

1. A purchase dialog will appear, allowing you to purchase a Site Scope+ subscription for the OT network.
2. Once the purchase has completed, the Site Scope that was originally assigned to the OT network will be returned to the Site Scope Pool, where it will now be available for assignment to another OT network.

Make sure this is what you intend to do. Although upgrading assignments from Site Scope to Site Scope+ happens immediately, it cannot be reversed until the subscription term ends.
