If you are installing the capture tool on a system running Windows 11 or newer and/or your IT department is a bit on the strict side, please do the following:
- Download the latest version of Npcap from the official website. (https://npcap.com/).

During installation, ensure that the WinPcap API-compatible mode option is selected to guarantee compatibility with the capture tool.
- Complete the installation of Npcap, and restart the computer if prompted.
- Install the capture tool software.
If you have already installed the capture tool, but are experiencing issues (e.g. capture interfaces not showing up), do the following:
- Go to: Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
- Find Win10Pcap in the list, select it, and click Uninstall.
- From the programs folder for the capture tool, launch the uninstaller to remove it.
- Download the latest version of Npcap from the official website. (https://npcap.com/).

- Re-install the capture tool.
