If you're managing a Miktrotik router from OneView, and you would like to capture traffic from it to manually upload to a Visual BACnet monitoring node, here's how you do it:
- Login to OneView.
- Click on ‘Config’ (left panel).
- Scroll down to ‘Advanced Settings’ and click on the ‘Router’ button.
- On the ‘Advanced Router Menu’ that pops up below, click on the ‘Manual Management’ button.
- In the ‘Router GUI Access’ section, click on the ‘Open GUI’ button.
- Click on the ‘Address’ link and login with the temporary ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ provided.
- Click on ‘WebFig’ (top right).
- Click on ‘Tools’ (left-hand side).
- Click on ‘Packet Sniffer’ (under ‘Tools’).
- Select the appropriate values for ‘Memory Limit’ and ‘File Limit’.
- Select the ‘Interfaces’ you wish to capture on.
- Click on ‘File Name’ and give the capture file a name (e.g. some_capture.pcapng).
- Click ‘Apply’.
- Click ‘Start’ (‘running’ will appear in text field at the top).
- Click ‘Stop’ after you’ve captured for the desired duration.
- Click on ‘Files’ (left-hand side).
- Click the ‘Download’ button to the right of your capture file to download the file to your computer.
- Upload the capture file to your Visual BACnet monitoring node.
