Capturing traffic from a Miktrotik router being managed by OneView in an Optigo Connect system

If you're managing a Miktrotik router from OneView, and you would like to capture traffic from it to manually upload to a Visual BACnet monitoring node, here's how you do it:

1. Login to OneView.
   
   
2. Click on ‘Config’ (left panel).
   
   
3. Scroll down to ‘Advanced Settings’ and click on the ‘Router’ button.
   
   
4. On the ‘Advanced Router Menu’ that pops up below, click on the ‘Manual Management’ button.
   
   
5. In the ‘Router GUI Access’ section, click on the ‘Open GUI’ button.
   
   
6. Click on the ‘Address’ link and login with the temporary ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ provided.
   
   
7. Click on ‘WebFig’ (top right).
   
   
8. Click on ‘Tools’ (left-hand side).
   
   
9. Click on ‘Packet Sniffer’ (under ‘Tools’).
   
   
10. Select the appropriate values for ‘Memory Limit’ and ‘File Limit’.
    
    
11. Select the ‘Interfaces’ you wish to capture on.
    
    
12. Click on ‘File Name’ and give the capture file a name (e.g. some_capture.pcapng).
    
    
13. Click ‘Apply’.
    
    
14. Click ‘Start’ (‘running’ will appear in text field at the top).
    
    
15. Click ‘Stop’ after you’ve captured for the desired duration.
    
    
16. Click on ‘Files’ (left-hand side).
    
    
17. Click the ‘Download’ button to the right of your capture file to download the file to your computer.
    
    
18. Upload the capture file to your Visual BACnet monitoring node.
