Overview
The "Lost Tokens” diagnostic fails when Optigo Visual Networks detects a “Reply-To-Poll-For-Master (RTPFM) message on an MSTP Network. Rarely, this can mean a new device was added to the network during a capture. However, more often than not, RTPFM messages indicate a physical wiring issue.
Why it fails:

Wiring Issues: Loose or damaged wiring, flipped polarity, improper termination, or other physical wiring issue.
Implications:

Intermittent Communication: Dropped packets result in communication loss between devices on the network.
How to fix it
Use OptigoVN Site Scope(s) to identify the source and destination devices with Lost Packets. Verify and fix the wiring terminations for these devices, then take another capture to ensure the problem has been resolved.
