We want to deploy BACnet over Ethernet/IP but IT requires everything to have an IP address, how would you suggest getting around that?

In a lot of cases it may make sense to have direct Ethernet-to-Ethernet communication at layer two. When we do this, it’s important that they be isolated. The best-practice here is to keep those devices on a separate VLAN or separate network. Simply dropping them onto an IT network is not going to provide a good solution.
