The Network Health Score includes scored and critical checks. The base of the score is made up of scored checks-traffic rates, response times, etc. These are things that you don’t want to fail, but might not immediately have dire consequences. Each of these gets a rating of 5, 10, or 20%. These are averaged to create the base score.
We then evaluate critical factors (diagnostic checks that should not fail in a healthy system) according to their impact on the network. If the check fails, it takes 10, 20, or 40% right off the top of the score.
To get an accurate Network Health Score, it's recommended to use a capture that is an hour long or more. This ensures that there is enough time to collect all relevant information about the network.
The amount of the deduction is dependent on how much each check can affect your network. For example, a Circular Network can deduct up to 40% from your total Network Health Score.
